I LOVE My PORCH and PATIOS

I really love my porch! I always try to make the porch look attractive and welcoming for family and friends. This year, like every other year, I have a lot of plants on my porch. Some made it through the winter and others are new this spring.

My baker's rack is where I keep many of my year round plants.

I had been using terra cotta pots for a number of years and decided to use something new this year. I found a number of beautiful ceramic pots at my local Ross and T J Maxx stores. I liked that I found a good number of pots in the same color family.

We had a area in our yard (off the back porch) where the grass wasn't doing well. It hadn't done well for several years, so last April, we had a stone patio put in that spot. Then, in October, without having a master plan, we decided to have a fireplace put in with the patio.  And, in a couple weeks after the fireplace was installed, we had another stone patio built. For not having any type of plan, our new spaces turned out to be wonderful!!!  I love my patios!

These pots are on our new patio/dining area we had installed in October.

These pots are on our porch.  I have a candle in the grater--a fun light at night.

Here is my frog topiary.
He's looking great!  A real PRINCE CHARMING!
Check out the post on his transformation: Frog Rehab

I love this spoon garden marker.

I love this fish!  My sister-in-law painted him.

I never would have guessed how much we would all enjoy our new spaces.   The fireplace is the perfect place for a Saturday morning cup of coffee and a cozy fire.

I made this flag banner a few weeks ago for Memorial Day.
Here's how I made the banner: Flag Banner

Thanks for taking a look at my porch and patios.
I hope you enjoyed the visit!
