Seaside Shopping

Last week, while we were visiting friends, we ate and shopped in Seaside, Florida.  I loved this one store that I visited while at Seaside.  The name of the store is The Art of Simple

I saw this sign and decided to step inside.

A number of things attracted my attention as soon as I walked in the door.  There was art on the walls and there were shells attractively displayed in different containers.  I loved the feeling of creativity that I experienced when I walked in.

Check out the business cards!
Who wouldn't love a business card that looks like that??  How fun!

 Check out this unique art.

I loved how the shells were displayed in The Art of Simple.  I wish I had some of these pieces at my home so I could use them for various displays and collections throughout the year.  That would be nice.

Love the stove.

Funky art

There were a number of interesting larger pieces of furniture.
Some were wood finished and some were
all chippy with different layers of old paint.
  I loved them all.

We got several bath fizzes that were displayed on this American Beauty stove.  Yummy!

I can remember wanting a stove similar to this years ago
when I saw several lined up at an auction preview.
I never did tell anyone that I wanted one of those old stoves.
I couldn't quite figure out then how to convince
my parents that I wanted  needed a stove like this--especially when I was only
17 years old and 1,500 miles from home.....

Have a great day and I hope you enjoyed the visit to
 The Art of Simple.

Marsha, like you said; that sign at the entrance was so cute it made you want to wander in. I love all of the old scales. And that stove, what can I say - LOVE it. So funny that you wanted one at the age of 17. You learned early on what was 'cool'. Hey, made your cookies. YUMMY! Took some to my injured SIL, he texted me before I got home saying that they were fabulous.
