Later in the day, visited with my mom while I decorated these cookies. I dropped them off for friends who I wanted to remember on this special day. I make some of those "famous" Chocolate Crack Cookies to go in the bags, too. You can't celebrate Valentine's Day without Chocolate!!

Valentine's Day Delights
I enjoyed getting ready for Valentine's Day this year. I ordered some super "sweet " spoons for my husband so he could stir his coffee each morning and know that I am thinking about him. I ordered them from an Etsy shop that I recently discovered. etsy.com/shop/WoodenHive

Why Have It If I Don't Use It??
Well, I guess I need to make something of this sad little blog...I have been busy being a mom, a wife and a friend and have put my little blog to the side. I like to read blogs that belong to friends and even strangers. The things I find there are always interesting. I need to work on making my blog interesting and fun for the people who might some day visit it.
The other day, I "found" a friend that I had lost touch with over 30 years ago. Finding her has brought me great joy. I've enjoyed looking into her wonderful and colorful (pink) life. I have also loved the new cookie recipe that I made earlier this week that I got from her blog. She calls them, "Chocolate Crack Cookies." They are wonderful!! They baked up super moist and they didn't last long at our house! I have the feeling that I will be making these again--very soon.
I love to cook and I read lots of magazines that feature cooking and entertaining. I brought this magazine the other day. It had such a delicious cover that I just had to take a look inside. Then, I spotted what I hoped would be THE recipe for mushroom soup inside its pages. And yesterday, I made the soup and I found out it was THE recipe that I have been hoping for about 15 years! Not bad, because I had only made mushroom soup once before and it was good, but it wasn't THE recipe that I was hoping for.

Creative Winter
Around here, we don't get too much snow, so I've come up with a creative and attractive solution--lots and lots of mercury glass and other shiny decorations!
Happy New Year--welcome winter

ETSY UP AND RUNNING
I'm finally ready to start my business on etsy. I got plenty of help from my niece this weekend and owe her a BIG thank you. I have two items for sale and I want to give you a quick peek at what I have been working on. You may see additional pictures at my etsy store:

Scrapbooking Treat
I have enjoyed a treat the last two days. My friend came over and scrapbooked with me yesterday and today. We had fun talking about our girls while trying to be creative with our lastest batch of photos. We fed the girls turkey sandwiches while we dined on homemade pimento cheese. Yumm-m-m! Another gal pal dropped by to visit with us and paint. She's super creative and a great friend.
It has been a fun and relaxing two days.
Check out this page. It's from the International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C.

Up and Running
My name is Marsha and I love to create things!
I have always enjoyed making things and keeping my hands busy with different hobbies over the years. I started cooking and cross stitching when I was six years old. When I was in my early teens, I began refinishing furniture and I started decorating cakes when I was 15. Over the years, I have enjoyed wood-working, sewing, making split white oak baskets and making picture frames (I secretly love power tools). My latest and greatest enjoyment comes from taking pictures and scrapbooking. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love to cook, garden and decorate my home.
I am a budding papier mache' artist. I began this adventure five years ago when I couldn't find vintage-style Halloween decorations that I wanted for my home.
I live on the banks of the beautiful Autauga Creek in Prattville, Alabama with my family.
