Can O' Fun

Well, it's been awhile since I've posted anything new to my blog.  I've done things, but I haven't taken the time to write a post.

I thought I would share with you a couple of projects that I call Can O' Fun.  I had a lot of fun with these two spray paint projects.  First, is the texture spray paint I used on a couple of my fiberglass flower pots.  They had become tired-looking and I kept pushing them aside to use better looking pots.  I still loved their style and just couldn't get rid of them without trying to freshen them up.  Here's what they looked like before I started the project.

I already had this can of spray paint.

I inverted the pot and sprayed the sides and base.
Then, after it dried, I flipped it over and
sprayed the rim and a little bit of the inside.
It was so easy and fun.

Here you can see the great results!
Now I have two new-looking pots to use and enjoy again!

My next spray paint project was to change up these cute little lanterns that I bought at Lowe's.  They came in an aluminum color and black.  I bought them in both colors--I love lanterns, for some unknown reason.  As they began to reduce the price of the lanterns, I bought several more.  I didn't really need them, but I couldn't seem to help myself.  So, I would grab a lantern and then a can of spray paint.  Here are the results.

Here's what the lanterns looked like before I painted them.
I dusted them off and took out the glass.

I just love the fun colors that spray paint comes in these days.

I decided to spray two light coats of paint for complete coverage and to avoid drips.
When the paint was dry, I put the the glass back in the lantern.

Here's one of the finished lanterns on our patio table.  It adds a nice pop of color.
