Happy 4th of July

I've had my table in the kitchen decorated for the 4th of July for a couple of weeks now.  I thought I would share it with you.  I have several vintage pieces tucked in along the way and I'll point them out to you.

I started off by gathering objects and tableware that I thought would go with my holiday theme.
Some of the items wouldn't normally go together, but I decided that I would put them together to see how they might look.  I didn't think that the plates looked too bad with
the little buckets (Target- several years ago) so I kept going.

I love to use this chippy column piece that was once on my great aunt's home
(built in 1936).  When the columns were replaced about 8 years ago,
I got this piece and I'm glad I saved it.

The red doily was made by my husband's grandmother.
I have them in several colors and I love to use them when I decorate.

I found these little star napkins/coasters years ago.
They look good on the table, too, I think.

Last night, I decided to try putting these egg cups on the table.  My sweet mother-in-law gave them to me a month ago.  They were part of her original collection of dishes that she had when married in the 1950's.  The pattern is called Cornish.  I'm pleased to have them make an appearance on my table.

I added my Uncle Sam.  He's making he's debut on my table today.
I just finished him last night.  I think he looks great.

I hope you have a wonderful
 Fourth of July holiday weekend!
Be safe!

Your table is most patriotic. Love those little egg cups. You should decorate some eggs in patriotic motif and add them to the cups. ;-)
Your Uncle Sam is darling. Great job! ~ Sarah

Great festive patriotic table setting. LOVE that chippy column as the base. It's really wonderful that you were able to save it. Thanks so much for linking up for the party xo Debra
